May Random Rants
It's June 2nd, which means its customary I'm a couple days late posting last months random rants. Congratulations to any recent graduates out there. With the weather breaking, please go out and enjoy the sum.er. While looking at what remaining goals you want to crush for the last 6 months of the year.
Speaking of crush. Rusev is the redeemer all over again, and he will either succeed or not this time. I'm not really sure what his role in WWE will be this time, but I'm hoping the teased feud between him and Sheamus leads to him starting a real storyline.
AEW did the best thing moving All Out out of Chicago. In theory the idea of the event being held there annually was good. In execution AEW has wore the Chicago fanbase out, with how often they've been there. People are probably tapped.
While we're on AEW events. If AEW is wise they will visit different cities for Double Or Nothing, with the caveat being the town has a casino to fit the theme. Maybe they could help revitalize Atlantic City?
Even better enroach on WWE's territory and hold a Double or Nothing at Mohegan Sun in Connecticut.
When it comes to cosplay entrances/attire, Swerve is another guy that does not miss.
When will the Bloodsport/NWA version of Nattie show up on WWE TV? She seems to be rejuvenated in these outside endeavors, and could use a new persona in the E.
At this stage in her career, the low-key legend persona would be gold in the WWE. Especially if she hops between NXT and the main roster decimating the competition.
Vince McMahon had his faults with celebrities and the urge to be entertainment. The current regime has a huge fault with sports stars and incorporating them into shows. Tyrese Haliburtons RAW interview a couple weeks ago was way too long and not super needed. WWE needs to be careful about these type of crossover moments, so they don't jump the shark.
WWE and TKO made a major boneheaded move, when they announced Wrestlemania 42 would no longer be held in Nola. They tried to clean it up and give New Orleans Money In The Bank next year and a future Mania. However, the damage has been done. Fans already feeling squeezed by prices, now know they can't trust TKO/WWE. While cities who are supposed to be partners with these events, likely don't trust them either if the company can just switch up on them.
Alot goes into bidding for these events, and then the infrastructure work as far logistics of where events will be held. Making sure there are sufficient hotels, traffic concerns etc. I'm not a fan of this move, but feel it won't be the only time it occurs with this regime.
That's it for me folks, until next month.
