The Glacier Gimmick Lets Revive It
At the end of January my city was hit with a snowstorm, that quickly turned to ice. It's been two weeks and between the amount of snow we got, and the temperature barely cracking 20 degrees most days. We're still going through clean up efforts and I'm pretty sure I could ice skate on my front lawn. This weather randomly got me thinking about a gimmick; that was of it's time in that it was inspired by the popularity of Mortal Kombat and the Sub-Zero character. And maybe was just a little bit ahead of it's time, in WCW's Glacier gimmick. While gimmicks aren't as depended upon in the business as they once were. There still is a place for them, and I think WWE should revive the gimmick. Now to be honest the gimmick would only work in the confines of NXT. If it was attempted to be a main roster gimmick it wouldn't last and just be treated as a joke.
