The Glacier Gimmick Lets Revive It

 At the end of January my city was hit with a snowstorm, that quickly turned to ice. It's been two weeks and between the amount of snow we got, and the temperature barely cracking 20 degrees most days. We're still going through clean up efforts and I'm pretty sure I could ice skate on my front lawn.

This weather randomly got me thinking about a gimmick; that was of it's time in that it was inspired by the popularity of Mortal Kombat and the Sub-Zero character. And maybe was just a little bit ahead of it's time, in WCW's Glacier gimmick. While gimmicks aren't as depended upon in the business as they once were. There still is a place for them, and I think WWE should revive the gimmick.

Now to be honest the gimmick would only work in the confines of NXT. If it was attempted to be a main roster gimmick it wouldn't last and just be treated as a joke. In NXT land though, a entrance reminiscent of the OG entrance, complete with fake snow and blue lights all around. Would be top tier and send the message that this character is an attraction.

In order to be a attraction though, this version of Glacier would need to have promo skills. As WCW's version didn't cut promos so fans never really connected, no matter how cool the gimmick and entrance looked. For good measure throw in the cryonic kick for good measure.

A stone cold persona that cuts vicious promos and gets the job done. Would be a wonderful gimmick to revive. Worse gimmicks have been bought back to life before. I wouldnt mind WWE/NXT thawing the Glacier gimmick and doing it right this time.
