5 Potential WWE Crossovers

On Monday night WWE and Netflix teamed up for a Stranger Things themed Raw, to celebrate WWE's 1 year anniversary on Netflix and the finale and success of Stranger Things. WWE went all out with a themed intro, set pieces added to the stage. The Ring area and Gorilla position decorated with tentacles from the upside down.

Merchandise including t-shirts and the Stranger things custom championship. While I had reservations when it was announced because they went all out, I enjoyed it. While some consider it synergy between partners. Others consider it corny, a form of consumerism and capitalism and so on.

While its not something I would want to see done all ths time. If its for the right property or a special occasion and it makes sense, I'm all for it. So I started thinking about other series WWE could work with for episodes like this and here are 5.

KPop Demon Hunters

Unless you don't have young kids or may live under a rock. You might not be aware of how much of a pop culture sensation KPOP Demon Hunters has become since it debuted last summer.

This would be a very off the wall idea, simply because its a cartoon. However, the three actresses behind the characters have performed at the Macy's Thanksgiving parade and Snoop's Halftime show on Christmas. Along with a performance on Jimmy Fallon and a few other appearances.

It would be very goofy, but if pulled off with care and detail like Stranger Things. Maybe could work.

One Piece

Netflix's live action adaption of a Japanese Manga series, One Piece is a pirate adventure series. It follows the Straw Hat Pirates on a quest in search of a legendary treasure. Highly popular when season one debuted in 2023, season 2 releases in March and I'm sure Netflix has an aggressive promotional campaign ready to go.

I could definitely see if Netflix offered some big money. WWE booking an outdoor event along of the lines of WCW's Spring Break episodes and tying in the pirate theme somehow.

Twisted Metal

If NBCUniversal came to WWE and wanted to do the same thing. This probably would be the best property to collab with. Now WWE knowing them, may not want to do it since AEW's Samoa Joe has a prominent role in the series (albeit under a mask).

However if they agreed, seeing Sweet Tooth's ice cream van near the entrance on Smackdown. Or John Doe's Suburu dubbed Evelyn and Carnage around ringside. Might be a fun ride.

Wednesday

Perfect tie in during spooky season and Liv Morgan definitely would be involved. Wednesday focusing on Wednesday Addams is just about as popular as Stranger Things. Made even more by the dance to Lady Gaga's Bloody Mary given that song renewed life. Trust me, my kid plays that song like it just released.

I could definitely see a set built to resemble Nevermore Academy or the Addams mansion. Tied in with Halloween of course roster members dressed like the Addams. And if a crossover did occur and it was in the fall, no one would bat an eye if it got outlandish.

 Squid Game

This series premiering in 2021, revolves around severly indebted participants playing a series of children's based games to win several million dollars. Its a dark commentary on classism, capitalism, and how hard it is to live honestly. While it ended its run last year, it was a huge success and has become a part of pop culture. Especially the pink guards who oversaw the games.

So much that Netflix is working on a spin-off with famed director David Fincher. With filming slated to begin in February, I'm sure by early next year it will be ready to air. And Netflix will be promoting it non-stop. I wouldn't be shocked if we saw some pink guards ringside on an episode of Raw.
