I'm by no means a wrestling guru, analyst, or any of the sorts. I'm just a guy that loves wrestling and offering my thoughts. Heres some of my random rants

WWE Moving to Amway Center

News released this week that WWE had entered into an agreement to host weekly events from the Amway center for the time being. WWE is currently scheduled to run events until the end of the October, without fans with amendments in place. I personally did not have a problem with the performance center, but the Amway Center will provide a different esthetic. It will allow WWE to truly put on the spectactle they love their events to be, and with AEW having Daily's Place to hold their events at. I'm sure WWE felt a way about the size of the performance center compared to Daily's Place on television. We shall see how it goes for the next few months. 

RAW UNDERGROUND

Watching this weeks edition of Raw Underground, the presentation was much better. I also enjoyed the inclusion of Shayna Baszler and company. I still dont think it will last long term. However, I do think it has potential if WWE breaks from the norm just a bit. For as long as they record from the performance center or Amway Center, the third hour should be devoted to Raw Underground. That can provide a true backstory to its purpose, give the lesser known competitors a chance to really develop a following. Actual "brawls" will be seen instead of quick cuts, and it will force WWE to streamline Raw and make every segment matter.

Retribution 

WWE's biggest angle right now is the incoming invasion. After receiving ridicule last week for all of the members appearing under 6', this weeks members were 6' or taller. There's still rampant speculation on who is under the mask, and I'll give WWE credit for keeping fans on their toes. I did think the attack backstage of random crew members with the roster ringside was silly. WWE often displays backstage happenings on the titan tron, but this time it wasn't shown and the roster wasnt aware until referee Jessika Carr came running out for help. In my fantasy booking world, I would have written it for the attack to show up on the screen forcing the roster to head to the back. Leading to another group of Retribution members to appear ringside and attack Big E and Morrison once again. While we're at it, I would enjoy it if some of the NXT talent in the crowd is revealed as members of Retribution when the time comes.

MLW

MLW hasn't ran any events since the pandemic began. They have continued to make moves behind the scenes, and have hinted that their ready to gear up and start producing events for TV again. This tweet by MLW CEO Court Bauer in response to a fan, has gold potential all over it. This one thing I think would be great for the world of professional wrestling, interpromotional events are rare in the U.S. to the best of my knowledge. MLW and Impact are two mid-sized companies with loyal fans, putting on the best product they can to obtain more. If the two worked together and put on some true wrestling matches for the fans, in the words of good ol JR "By God".

Random Bites

Cant stress enough Santos Escobar is the hottest act in NXT in my opinion. I just cant wait until they are SAFELY able to have fans in attendance, and he draws massive heat.

Lana and Natalya may work as a duo. Lana can easily be annoying and overbearing, while Natalya needs a refresh in presentation. The #Boat (Best of All time) may be cringe worthy, but it does play off Natalyas relation to Bret Hart and his best there is, was, and ever will be monikor. I for one think it could  actually work if they play off it correctly.

Ring of Honor announced this week they will be resuming production at a closed set in Maryland. They'll be picking up where they left off, starting the touranment for the pure championship. I'm looking forward to companies safely coming back and producing shows, although Delirious is taking over booking operations from Marty Scrull. During these unprecendented times they had to do what they had to do, but they probably need to find a new head writer besides Delirious.

Brian Meyers fka Curt Hawkins in WWE, made his in-ring debut this past week in Impact. I've always thought he's an underrated talent who gets looked over, because of his presentation in WWE. If he's given a chance to develop a personality and show his skills, he can be a solid midcard talent for Impact. 

Random AEW question. Since AEW started they've implemented a win-loss record for their talent. Unless I missed it, does the win-loss record actually amount to anything when it comes to title opportunities etc?

I enjoyed FTR going full heel mode in attacking legends Rock N' Roll Express. To me that segment was going good and stumbled somewhere in the middle. Unless it's going to pay off later, I didn't get the exact reason why Shawn Spears walked out in the middle of Arn Anderson talking. I also never thought about it because the Rock N' Roll Express was before my time, but when you think about it their style did influence The Rockers, Hardys, and Young Bucks among other teams.

Speaking of heel turns, it looks like Cody's heel turn is slow burning. This week he came out for his match against Scorpio Sky with a full entourage of Brandi, Dustin, Arn, and QT Marshall. Displaying cockiness and hints of being full of himself, I think its time. Cody is an effective heel and just like anything in life, wrestling personas needs refreshes from time to time. He's been the star of AEW wether he wants to admit it or not, since the company started so lets try something new. His deranged Cody gimmick in WWE was one of my favorites by the way.

It looks like SCU has  quietly separated. Christopher Daniel's seems to be taking a backseat, Scorpio is a full fledged solo act with a new entrance, music and video. Karazian has been sitting in the crowd the last two weeks scoping out potential partners or future victims. Btw I'm intrigued by where their going with Karazian just dont let it drag out past a month.
