Damn That Was Genius

 At the Wrestlemania XL kickoff show, the WWE pulled a hat trick amongst the backlash they've received by having The Rock turn heel and side with his "blood" Roman Reigns. Unsurprisingly people are unhappy about this scenario, but I am not one of them.

This was a GENIUS move by all involved to turn a situation the WWE was losing in with the fans, to basically turning this whole story upside down. After Cody seemingly relinquished his Wrestlemania spot against  Roman for the long time coming dream match of Rock vs Roman, fans got in an uproar. #Wewantcody became a trending topic on twitter(will never call it X). Rumblings came out about The Rock politicking and that was overexposed.

Meanwhile fans had also been complaining about Roman's reign. He had become a special attraction, showing up sporadically on TV and to defend his title. With no real competition left to conquer. While The Bloodline faction and story had become stale.

So now, The Bloodline angle has been rejuvenated and it could go a few directions. I'm just guessing here, but I think the Rock's schedule is clear of filming through the Summer. Moana 2 and Red One are both scheduled for release in November. And he will be on a heavy press tour, and I'm not sure when the next installment of The Fast & Furious franchise begins filming. So if I'm correct he has some free time to spend in the WWE.

I'm predicting Cody does win at Mania for that feel good moment. Although I'm not sure how The Rock gets physically in Mania at this point. But I can see cards coming into play of Rock vs Roman occurring at Summerslam, or the very least whatever the September PLE will be before he goes to do his Hollywood commitments.

Rock joins The Bloodline with the two alpha males subtly throwing jabs at one another. Maybe Jimmy and Solo can't coexist with The Rock and Rikishi makes an appearance to try and smooth things out. The battle line is drawn Rock and Roman against Jimmy and Solo. But then Rock and Roman have a standoff and boom a match is on the line at Summerslam or the following event.

Until we get there I am along for the ride in this chapter of The Bloodline and Cody's story. I want to give a huge shout out to everyone involved who decided to pivot and make this thing work back in their favor.
