Why The Bloodline Saga May Be Wrestlings Greatest Storyline Ever

This past weekend at WWE Backlash Tanga Lao, brother of Tama Tonga and his partner in the Guerillas of Destiny tag team made his return to the WWE and officially joining The Bloodline. It was a move brilliant because everyone expected fellow relative Jacob Fatu to make his highly anticipated debut during the event. And no one had a clue Tanga had left New Japan and signed with WWE. So now, fans are left on their toes wondering when the next plot point drops.

It also highlighted a good reason why The Bloodline saga may become the greatest story ever told in wrestling. The A'noai family in wrestling is so large, you honestly don't know who you will see make an appearance to continue the story. And in the ever evolving story, it's apparent there will be a Bloodline civil war at some point, and while we all can see hints of who will be on which side. We're honestly not sure who will round out the two sides, and how many members of the family will be on either side.

It's apparent the founders of The Bloodline Roman and The Uso's will be on one side as the face group upon Roman's and Jimmy's respective returns. While we suspect Jacob Fatu will be with Bloodline 2.0 upon his debut, where does The Rock fall when he returns? Does he join Roman and The Uso's disgusted at the actions of Solo and crew, or will he lean more into his heel role and actually join Bloodline 2.0? Leading to the inevitable showdown between The Rock and Roman.

It's rumored Hikuelo is soon WWE bound, does he appear and join Bloodline 2.0 or sides with his older wise cousins? Will reinforcements need to be called in the name of Sami Zayn at some point during this battle? I mean he is an honorary uce.

Then there's the family tie's within the WWE who aren't necessarily involved in the conflict, but it will be interesting to see if they are given roles in the story. Does Naomi try to talk sense into Jimmy to just walk away from the family beef? Will Nia Jax and maybe Tamina hold an intervention to try and reason with both sides to quickly resolve their differences and put family first?

Will "elders" like Rikishi, Haku, The Tonga Kid (Jacob Fatu's father), and maybe Samu (if his recent health conditions allow) make appearances to pick line's in the sand. Does fellow but non-WWE contracted wrestlers like Lance Anoa'i (Samu's son, recently wrestled for MLW) and  Zilla Fatu (Umaga's son) appear state their peace and disappear?

How about ex-Legacy member Manu? Does he make a cameo to try to calm things down? And have a backstage segment with either Cody or Randy Orton as a callback easter egg.

Then there is the wiseman Paul Heyman, where does he fit in with all of this? Is he truly a consultant held against his will with Bloodline 2.0, waiting for Roman Reigns to save him? Or is he playing everyone and has been in alignment with Solo and team all this time? He did manage Rikishi and Samu when they were the Samoan Swat Team in the mid-80's. He also isn't above turning on clients for his own self interest. Heyman is another wrinkle in the story we need to keep our eye on.

I'm sure when The Bloodline story started in the late summer of 2020, WWE had no idea that they had a goldmine of a saga on their hands and it would last this long. From the catchphrase We The One's resulting in fan's throwing up the one's everywhere, to Roman maybe doing some self-reflection after losing at Wrestlemania XL.  They've found new ways to continue the story and keep it interesting despite lull's here and there, and I truly believe they have another year maybe two out of this story.

Which is why it could possibly become the greatest story ever told in professional wrestling.
