June Random Rants

Another month has come and gone, which mean's it's time for another edition of Random Rants. As has become the norm, it's a little late and a little short but let's get to it.

Those four hour Dynamite and Collisions held last month were very ambitious. But, just like other programs that stretch, were hard to keep you engaged for the entire duration. I thought the idea was good, but they may want to stretch it and let some months pass before doing that again.

The movie geek in me did enjoy the intro to Summer Blockbuster though.

Kris Statlander, being recruited by The Death Riders could be intriguing as long as they don't drag it out too long. Which is a bad habit of Tony Khan. Speaking of I'm actually shocked Death Riders are still around, they've ran out of gas long time ago.

My prediction may come true and Gates Of Agony will become the muscle for Ricochet, and finally get to show more people what they can do in the ring.

Timeless Toni Storm progressing into a film noir detective is freaking genius. If there are already character tropes cooking for her to eventually portray through various film eras..this gimmick could go on forever and forever.

So glad The Iinspiration returned to TNA at Against All ODDS. I applaud both woman for leaving wrestling to start families. Based on the response when they returned, they surely were missed and fans showed them how much they are appreciated. The two are crazy talented and have so much comedic timing.

Man, also very happy to see Killer Kelly return to TNA as well. Her feud with Masha Slamovich has that personal angle to draw you in, and you know those two will bash the hell out of one another.

TNA is finally coming to Baltimore after 23 years of existence as a company. I'm looking forward to attending one of the shows.

What's Jonathan Coachmans deal? I never had an opinion on the guy, but now he seems like he just says the most outlandish shit to try to sound cool and that he has the inside scope. He also seems to believe he is a bigger deal than what he is.

Blake Monroe signing with NXT is a huge get for the organization. I do feel this is one of AEW's biggest losses, that may come back to haunt them. As she is under 30 and still has so much potential to be a roster mainstay for years to come.

Roman Reigns has been cast in Street Fighter as Akuma. Good for him, as he starts preparing for life after pro wrestling and making a serious foray into Hollywood. He has a role in the Eddie Murphy/Pete Davidson film The Pickup releasing on Prime video in August, let's see how far his acting chops have improved.

Speaking of The Bloodline, Hikeuleo finally debuted in the WWE. Is it too late though? being that the Bloodline saga has faded away.

My last rant for this month, Is it me or wrestling t-shirts are phony now.  All promotions are guilty of this, they all look very cartoonish or very bland. Where's the grittiness? that makes the t-shirt interchangeable with any type of fashion wear.
