Wrestlings Best Spooky Themes
It is spooky season, the air is crisp. The leaves are falling. Pumpkins are abundant, horror movies are in full swing. With all that the world of wrestling likes to indulge in the spooky side of things as well.
Pro wrestling has plenty of characters who's persona is based on the Gothic, supernatural side of things. To make their presentation whole, these wrestlers often have music that sets the tone of the dark times that are ahead in the ring.
Some of those tunes are very infectious though. Here are my top 5 spooky wrestling themes to rock out to.
5. Ministry Of Darkness Theme
In my honest opinion in Undertaker's thirty year career, The Ministry of Darkness Taker is very underrated and was downright creepy. Jim Johnston got a lot right with this Taker's theme song.
A remixed version of The Undertakers original theme. It had the feel of the edgy era that was the 90's. The bassline hit the right tones and it just sounded sinister. You can listen to it outside of the ring and still rock out to it.
4. Vampiro Take IT
Insane Clown Possee is a acquired taste in the world of hip hop and pro wrestling. In 1999 WCW bought them on board and paired them with Raven and Vampiro as The Dead Pool. That crashed due to WCW Politics and they disappeared from WCW. They returned in early summer of 2000 under a new regime, to partner with Vampiro and Great Muta the collective now known as the Dark Carnival.
Since ICP was apart of the group its only right the theme song was performed by them. "Take It" while the beat is a little upbeat it has a haunting bass and drums. The lyrics essentially daring someone to try them. For spooky season it definitely is considered a banger.
3. Aleister Black NXT Theme
Aleister Black's whole presentation in NXT was of a brooding individual. He had hints of santanic worshipping incorporated into his character but nothing too over the top. His theme song Root Of All Evil was performed by heavy metal band Incendiary.
The song perfectly fits the character and is just as brooding. What made the song even more infectious was Aleister's entrance complete with candles and Aleister rising from a coffin smoke surrounding him. The presentation amplified the song, but the song itself slaps as the kid's say.
2. The Brood Entrance
One of the most recognizable attitude era theme songs and possibly in wrestling history period. The Brood's theme song is a eerie and gothic theme song if there ever was one.
Complete with the creepy sound of a vampire on the haunt. Visually who can forget the iconic entrance of The Brood rising up the ramp from a pit of fire. If you want a wrestling theme on your Halloween playlist this is a must have.
