The Hurt Business Reunion
As Triple H slowly starts to implement his vision of what pro wrestling should be in the WWE. He has righted some wrongs by bringing back Dakota Kai and Killer Kross, with rumors that he plans to add more depth to the roster.
One absolutely wrong he should right is getting The Hurt Business back together. During the Thunderdome era, The Hurt Business was the best thing on Monday Night Raw. The swag of MVP, the silent but deadly actions of Lashley and Shelton Benjamin, and the hunger for more from Cedric Alexander.
Every week they came out rocking suits, kicking ass, and cashing checks. What was there not to love? Then rather unceremoniously the group disbanded out of nowhere. Everyone agreed it was a poor decision on the WWE's part. Even MVP and Lashley tried to convince Vince it was too soon.
There was a brief reunion last spring that went nowhere, but now is the time for a proper reunion. Reunions in wrestling happen all the time and what would be a Hurt Business motto, they got back together because it's business never personal.
Lashley while doing a good job as a face as the US champion, could gain back his tenacity to be the best and go after Roman. Shelton and Cedric could reunite and be taken seriously, be formidable opponents for The Uso's.
While MVP in his "Godfather" like role adds Omos to the party. Omos was a Vince McMahon project, but I'm not sure where he fits in the new regime plans. He still is green and limited in movement, even paired with MVP he doesn't display much personality.
However, paired with those four he could learn something from each of them and become the silent enforcer for the group. With Lashley, MVP and Shelton in their 40's, and Cedric in his 30's, Omos in his 20's being the monster of the group while improving. Could be the catalyst he needs to become a larger than life star (which wrestling needs more of). Helping cement the groups legacy.
The Hurt Business could have a nice 2 year run or more and dominate the WWE. Let's hope someone notices all the money left on the table and do whats best for business, by reuniting The Hurt Business.
