Five Reasons Mandy Rose Is The Perfect Fit For Impact
Shocking news hit this week when the WWE released Mandy Rose seemly out the blue. The story got even more interesting when it was revealed her firing was due to risqué photos posted on Fantime. Apparently her making extra money on the platform was outside of her contract agreement, and the WWE hands were tied with what to do.
I honestly call bullshit on that. We are 20 years removed from the overly sexual presentation of women that was the Attitude Era. However, we're not that far from the tamer presentation that the following eras (Ruthless Aggression, PG, Reality) held. Mandy's whole act has focused on how attractive she is. WWE was in the wrong here just firing her in my opinion.
Now reports say the door was left open to make a return down the road. I don't know what her plans are, or if wrestling is still in them. If they are though, Impact Wrestling is the perfect place for her.
5. Embrace The Knockouts Title
Impact has found a perfect balance, showcasing the athleticism of their female wrestlers, while also embracing their sex appeal all respectfully.
Mandy Rose would definitely embrace the Knockouts tag that Impact gives the women wrestlers on the roster. She would not only embrace it, but run with it, likely sprinkle some attitude era sass into things and probably make a damn good character out of it.
I think Mandy is self aware enough to know how attractive she is. I know she mentioned she did not want people to focus just on her looks, but we can't help what God gave her. Accepting that she is a Knockout would be a step in the right direction to making a new lane for herself.
4. Controversy Creates Cash
Eric Bischoff coined this term and even wrote a book with that line as the title. He's right though, currently there's controversy behind her release, how the 'E went about it, should she just had deleted the pics etc.
When her non-compete ends if she were to join Impact and use this controversy (which will have died off by then) to her advantage and create a compelling persona/story out of it. The scenario maybe a goldmine.
3. New Blood In Impact
Impact's Knockouts Division has a solid roster of very talented female wrestlers. However, with the Division's roster thin most matches have been seen multiple times.
Mandy joining would be the biggest name in the division. Which could create a interesting storyline mixed with the controversy, and her looks to have the other members out for blood.
2. Outside Endeavors won't be a problem
Various reports mentioned that Mandy Rose was making a substantial amount of money off fantime. Some even stated she made more than what she was making for the WWE.
I'm sure there's some truth to that. One thing she wouldn't have to worry about in Impact is not being able to pursue other endeavors. Since Impact can't afford to pay what the E pays, they are not as strict on talent making outside money.
Which would bode well for Impact, Mandy and her fans.
1. Prove naysayers wrong
Impact is the home of second chances, giving overlooked or wrestlers hated for no reason a new lease on life. I can get some of the dislike towards Mandy, but I've heard that she's not a good wrestler.
Which is far from the truth, she is a damn solid wrestler. She may not be in the conversation of a Saraya, Jamie Hayter, Thunder Rosa, Sasha, Madusa, or Bayley among others. She can go out there and out on a entertaining match. She really improved her game when she went back to NXT.
Under the eye and training of Gail Kim and working with Deonna Purrazzo, Tasha Steelz, Jordynne Grace, Mickie James, Masha Slamovich and the other Knockouts. She just may open some eyes with her ring ability and have people eating crow..
Mandy if wrestling is still in your future take a look at Impact. IMPACT its simple sign Mandy Rose.
