Random Rants For March

Austin Theory is doing tremendous on his own, and I'm looking forward to his match against Cena. He doesnt really need them, but I just wish we could get the Way back? They were funny with Johnny and Candice as the vets leading the way for the young hot shots.  That was Johnny Gargano at his best from a personality standpoint. 

 Rumors afloat that Brian Cage is on his way out of AEW and the E are interested. I just don't see where he would fit into their ecosystem and be successful. Most of the folks who returned under Triple H's regime have failed to make an impact of any sort. I just don't see an industry vet who has never been in their system doing anything of significance. 

AEW didn't do anything with him either, but I'd suggest sticking out with them or going back to Impact if that's a possibility.

I am looking forward to what a heel Bryan Danielson does in AEW. By all accounts he is a super nice person, but he knows how to turn the asshole on and make fans hate him.

Drew McIntyre bought back his previous theme song Broken Dreams at Clash At The Castle last September. I would love if Sheamus came out to written in my face as his Wrestlemania entrances, I loved that theme song. 

Speaking of theme songs, I sure do miss the classic Wrestlemania theme.

I'm glad that WWE is limiting the amount of Hall of Fame entries. I attended the one in 2017 when Kurt Angle was the headline inductee, it was a good experience as a fan of wrestling and wrestling history. But damn did it drag just sitting there, I think there were about 8-10 inductees that year.

I'm just wondering when will we start getting more ECW originals in the WWE Hall Of Fame? As of now only RVD and The Dudley's have made the list. There are Hall of famers like Stone Cold, Mick Foley, Eddie Guerrero, and now Rey who wrestled for ECW, but their names aren't associated with ECW like a Tommy Dreamer, Raven, Joey Styles, Francine, Sabu or even Paul Heyman's would.

The Bloodline angle has been smoking hot firing on all cylinders, I honestly think the sage will continue through the summer and things will come to a head at SummerSlam.

I like Tony Khan and respect what he has done for the business funding AEW and bringing new life to ROH. But damnit, someone please take his phone and delete twitter.

I wonder what Tony's "special announcement" will be this Wednesday, he has to be careful to not turn that into a trope when he's looking for a ratings pop.

It seems a new LWO is forming with Rey Mysterio and LFG, it hints that Rey's feud with Judgement Day will continue, but I'm on the fence about using the LWO name. As much as I love nostalgia I wish certain faction names would not be overused so much. On the other hand WCW didn't do a great job with LWO so maybe this faction will course correct things.

It's WrestleMania weekend, the card may look so so on paper but I think it will be exceed expectations. One's thing for sure even fans who don't watch WWE consistently keep tabs on what's happening for Mania. Fans who prefer other promotions over WWE watch a shit ton of wrestling events thanks to Mania.

BTW that WrestleMania Hollywood set this year is instantly top ten, right up there with the WrestleMania 33 set.

That's it for my rants, I had a couple of blogs planned this month that I never got around to finish because work and personal stuff kicked my ass. Hopefully I can finish them and release next month.
