Random Rants For June
Another month has flown by and here we are it's July 1st. Work has been kicking my ass for the month of June, so this rant is a little short. Here's my random rants for the month of June, while we wait for Money In The Bank.
I'm still calling that The Bloodline angle fully ends at Summerslam or a little after, marking a full 3 year journey with this storyline. I'm very curious if Rikishi and The Wild Samoans will appear in the meantime to try and make things right with the family. Hell, even Tamina for that matter even if it's just for one segment.
Imagine that Tamina tries to convince The family to set things right, Roman will chastise her and boom the crowd is sympathetic to Tamina. At this point, WWE wouldn't invest heavily in her at all but it would be a cool moment.
This added wrinkle of Roman being intimidated by Solo is interesting since it's subtle, hopefully there is some sort of pay off.
This season of Dark Side Of The Ring so far has been very interesting especially with Magnum T.A. and Junkyard Dog. I was just a baby when Magnum T.A. was forced to retire, I've always he was supposed to be the next big thing in wrestling but it was informational learning his story.
Same with JYD. I had no idea he was such a megastar in Mid-South and also had no idea he had such an addiction problem. His episode may have been one of the best DSOT has produced so far. I also was completely clueless about his "Grab them cakes" song.
Hit Row may need to do another tour of NXT, actually not may they NEED another tour of NXT. I think they all are talented individually, but as a collective yeah it's not working.
I'm a bit bummed that Young Rock was cancelled. It wasn't a laugh out loud comedy by any means, but it had it's moments, and a lot of ha ha scenes when you learn wrestling history, I think they could have squeezed one more season out of it, and then it would have ran its course.
I really would have been interested in seeing The Tooth fairy Hollywood era of The Rock portrayed. Then maybe when the light bulb went off and he realized he needed to embrace his past to truly become the Hollywood star he wanted to be. Now THAT would have an awesome ending to the series, in my opinion.
Looks like Bianca Belairs heel turn is about to go in full swing and I'm here for it.
Powerhouse Hobbs should be treated like a monster talent..why is he being paired with QT Marshall and company? It has done nothing but damage his trajectory that he was on.
I've been a LA Knight fan since 2016 when he was in Impact. I'm glad the masses are finally picking up he's a star.
I've enjoyed AEW Collision so far, now WWE has been running PLE's for the past 3 years on Saturday nights as opposed to Sunday's mostly. With some Sunday night PLE's sprinkled in, but my gut tells me with Collision on air, WWE will make sure as much as possible to have their PLE's on Saturday's to provide direct competition.
I can't stress this enough but I really miss Broken Skull Sessions.
