August Random Rants

So CM Punk after what 2 months back in AEW, and is involved in more controversy. He and Jack Perry get into a backstage scuffle at All In. By all accounts, Perry was the problem here. The situation is rather childisg, ao I'm curious is CM Punk the problem or it's everyone else antagonizing him?

Either way it is bad for business and the 2nd time he has been caught up in something silly after a big company event..TK may have to cut his losses.

While we're on Jack Perry. I'm not sure if AEW is aware, but his new theme just isn't it.

If Edge's match against Sheamus (which was a hell of a match btw) is indeed his final match ever. He went out with a bang and its well deserved after 30 plus years of wrestling. Thank You Edge!

I'm also not sure if anyone in WWE is aware, but the Viking Raiders just aren't working as a act. Two hosses that can move like Erik and Ivar should be presented as two bad mofos just kicking ass. Valhalla also doesn't help as an accessory to their act, she is talented but I recommend sending her back to NXT. If nothing else to find a character that matches her in-ring skills.

Maybe I'm in the minority but every time Ethan Page is on AEW, I think he should have stayed with Impact. Now of course if the two sides were far apart on terms that's one thing, but I'm almost certain he would have been an Impact World Champion and a damn good one by now.

The Former Lacey Evans has left WWE. She's opened a coffee shop according to her Instagram. She also has made her way into the Onlyfans space. I for one am happy for her, if she determined the WWE life was no longer for her and it was time to move on, I wish her all the best.

Kudos to whoever came up with Toni Storm's new Marilyn Monroe esque persona. She has taken the ball and ran with it, and it is very entertaining. She always had in ring talent but was very bland, now everyone is able to see how much personality she has.

I like the partnership between Chelsea Green and Piper Niven. Chelsea is still her annoying, overbearing Karen self. Piper does not put up with it all, and actually intimdates Chelsea. Perfect example of turning lemons (Sonyas injury) into lemonade.

Randy Ortons future is up in the air, but what if Riddle & McIntyre teaming is a long term plan for Orton to return and feud with McIntyre.

Judgment Day as a unit despite being hit or miss at times, have been solid during their run. I'm digging the subtle hints that Rhea is the actual leader amongst the pack of alpha males. Keeping the fellas in line.

Speaking of, what if JD McDonagh turns on Finn, gets him kicked out of Judgement Day, and takes his spot? Plotting with Priest all along to get Finn out, while Rhea and Dominik were oblivious to the plan but just accept it and move on.

Tony Khan announces he wants to make it a tradition to have All In and All Out a week apart. Which is ambitious, and as the owner of the company growth has to be one of his top priorities. Doing so though, not only brings concerns about promotion and meeting expectations for both events a week apart.

What about spreading fans and their resources thin? Even being in two different countries, with the cost of everything you have to make sure you aren't putting fans in a predicament between living and supporting AEW as best their situation allows.

It's not TK and company job to make sure grown adults are budgeting their money well. There is a thing called overstaturation though.

Impact is still flying under the radar, firing on all cylinders. News came out that their production studio will get an upgrade, and the visual of the product will change top of the year.

If a change in presentation brings more eyeballs and potentially a streaming player to pick up another show, like I've predicted before. I'm all for it.

The world of wrestling lost two legends a day apart last week, in Terry Funk and Bray Wyatt.

Terry Funk a legend in pro wrestling and particularly in the hardcore realm. Was one SOB who put his body through hell to entertain fans well into his 50's in WWF and WCW, and even his 70's on the indies and in Japan.

Bray was a creative genius who even if his ideas did not translate well, I always respected and enjoyed watching because he thought outside the box

Bray's death hits so hard because he had so much more life to live. Not only that, he's a year younger than me and his sudden death at the age of 36, as a loving husband and father just hit so close to home. A reminder of how short life is and you just never know when time is up.

I met Bray during an Axxess signing for Wrestlemania 37. While our interaction was brief he was very cool and one of the nicest wrestlers I've ever met.

I recommend when opportunities arise to please take the time to attend wrestling conventions and fan fest to meet your favorites. You will not forget it, and when unfortunate life tragedy's occur you have those brief moments to remember.

My last recommendation which I'm working on myself, is to listen to your body and please take care of yourselves. Life is so precious and scary, and things can change in a blink of a eye.

Sometimes we get so caught up in the rat race, we don't take care of ourselves like we should. Please make sure you do so.

Have a safe, relaxing wrestling filled Labor Day Weekend.
