December Random Rants

 

Alright folks we are just hours away from 2024 and honestly I nearly forgot I did not do a random rant for this month. December was quite busy for me personally, so oftentimes wrestling was on but it wasn't getting my full attention.

Along with the holidays, as such my random rants will be quite short this go round. And I may warn you very random.

The tease for Monday Night Raw is very intriguing. Triple H's post was very vague just saying former WWE champion. Could it be Sasha Banks? AJ Lee? Big E?. Many think Andrade. Or someone from a previous generation just stopping in to say hi.

I always noticed it and in the back of my mind always said it was cool. I really enjoy The Judgement Day having their own "clubhouse" in a random part of a arena on Raw each week. It helps set the unit apart from the rest of the roster.

I really would like for the WWE to get serious about bringing a version of The Way back. DIY is not getting crowd reactions, neither is Candice Larae and Indi Hartwell. Which is a shame, because they are all talented. Put them together, bring back the goofy aspects of Gargano, Larae, and Indi while Ciampa plays the straight man and see what happens.

I really hope Shinsuke Nakamura run starts coming with some real wins. His current act is just too entertaining.

Killer Kross is a decent wrestler but his act is bland. I'm not sure how much AOP will bring to the table but I'm here for it.

On to AEW.

2024 is Swerve's year in AEW point blank period. I can see his crowning moment being held off until Double Or Nothing, but anything after that would be a crime.

Shouts to Prince Nana for making something so simple as a dance, a important part of Swerves act now and a viral sensation.

I really really enjoy Toni Storms timeless act and the black and white screen effect. However, I think AEW is performing overkill everytime she's on screen they cut to that effect. Save it for her entrance and promos.

The Devil was finally revealed at AEW Worlds End. Honestly it makes sense from a story perspective, and if it wasn't Cole there was no other viable person that the unveiling would mean something.

I for one am looking forward to seeing where it goes.

I'm not going to touch the Jericho situation. However, I will say some of his recent behavior is putting a serious damper on his career accomplishments.

My biggest wish heading into 2024 is that the tribalism of pro wrestling fans takes a back seat. And folks just enjoy wrestling for them and whatever joy it brings them.
