Five Best Celebrity Wrestlers Not Named Logan Paul

Let's be honest folks Logan Paul is a phenomenon when it comes to outsiders performing in a wrestling ring. Since the moment he stepped foot in the ring for his first match at Wrestlemania 38, everyone just knew he was a natural.

It's the reason he is WWE United States Champion, retained at Wrestlemania against legendary Randy Orton and Kevin Owens. And will face off against Cody Rhodes this weekend at King & Queen Of The Ring   Plus good or bad he brings publicity to the WWE. Looking at his skills in the ring it led me to thinking about other Outsiders who have done really well in the ring. Here are 5 celebrities not named Logan Paul, who have really showed out in the squared circle.

5. Kevin Greene

When it comes to professional football players who moonlighted as professional wrestlers in the off-season. Kevin Greene was one of the better guys honestly. Greene wrestled five matches during his pro wrestling tenure, exclusively for WCW during a the NFL off-seasons from 1996 til 1998.

He shared the ring with guys like Ric Flair, Roddy Piper, Scott Hall, Kevin Nash, X-pac, Goldberg, Curt Henning, Jeff Jarrett, and more. He even main evented a Monday night Nitro against The Giant. Greene was full of energy during his time in WCW and bought into the over the topness of wrestling (sometimes maybe a bit too much).

Eric Bischoss mentioned Greene gave his all to the business. Taking the time to really train and learn the nuances of working in the ring to make his matches believable. Small things like that are a reason he is one of the better crossover celebrities to step foot in the ring.

4. Dennis Rodman

The Worm, Rodzilla, whatever you want to call him. Before stepping foot in the ring one thing Dennis Rodman had down pat was selling a persona and being a larger than life individual. Which helped him make an easy transition into the world of wrestling when he first debuted for WCW in the spring of 1997 aligning with the nWo.

He returned that summer to team with Hollywood Hogan and faceoff against Lex Luger and The Giant at Bash At The Beach, and made a cameo at next month's Road Wild. He returned in the summer of '98 bringing Karl Malone along and plenty of mainstream buzz for WCW following the NBA finals with their respective teams. Malone and DDP fought against Rodman and Hogan at that year's Bash At The Beach.

Rodman returned the following year in the summer of 1999 to feud against Randy Savage. His wrestling skills were exposed a bit more wrestling a singles match, but Rodman still gave it his all. Proving he wanted to dominate every industry he touched.

3. Stephen Amell

Stephen Amell is a noted wrestling fan. Cody Rhodes appeared on his hit show Arrow. He's considered a member of the Bullet Club. And his latest show based on an indy wrestling promotion Heels was canceled ahead of its time.

When Stephen stepped inside the squared circle he took the opportunity seriously. He's wrestled three times in his career and has impressed each time. First teaming with Neville (Pac) against Stardust (Cody) and Wade Barrett at Summerslam in 2015. Then in 2017 for Ring of Honor at Survival Of The Fittest, teaming with Cody Rhodes, Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks against Flip Gordon, Scorpio Sky, and The Addiction.

In 2018 he had his first singles match against Christopher Daniels at All In. The match went a solid 10 minutes and Amell proved he could hang in the ring.

2. Pat McAfee

During the pandemic era Pat McAfee was in a feud with Adam Cole and The Undisputed Era. From late summer of 2020 til December that year, McAfee was an unsung hero of the NXT roster. Protraying the heel in the feud, McAfee spewed vile hatred towards Cole and his supporters. Sneak attacked Cole and generally was an arrogant prick who showed him up.

When it came time for the two to faceoff at Takeover 30, McAfee who was previously trained by Rip Roger's showed he belonged in the ring. Many forgot he was a rookie within the squared circle. When the two had a follow up wargames match with their respective teams, McAfee again put on a display. He was not afraid to put his body on the line and do stunts.

McAfee has given so much to the WWE and pro wrestling in a short time, these two matches are a capsule of how viable he is to the industry.

1. Bad Bunny

Bad Bunny, the music superstar first teamed up with the WWE when he performed his song Booker T. at the Royal Rumble in 2021. That followed up with Bunny winning the 24/7 championship from Tozawa, which most fans rightfully mocked as a joke and a publicity stunt. Then Wrestlemania 37, first WWE event with fans in a year, Bad Bunny teamed with Damian Priest to team against The Miz and John Morrison.

Just like he has done with his music and performances, Bad Bunny dazzled audiences with his wrestling moves. Hitting well timed suplexes, selling moves, and even hitting the Canadian destroyer ringside on Morrison.

After that spectacular debut, Bad Bunny returned for next years Royal Rumble as a participant. Lasting til the final five having many fans believing he had a chance to win it all, before getting eliminated by Brock Lesnar. Last year in his native land of Puerto Rico, he put on another stellar effort in a street fight against former partner Priest. His entrance amplified the energy and electricity in the arena.

If Bad Bunny returns to the WWE for more matches his legacy as a competitor will grow. If not, he has cemented himself as possibly the best celebrity crossover into the squared circle.
