My Three Wishes For NXT/TNA Partnership

The wrestling world was turned upside down a few weeks ago when Jordynne Grace appeared and challenged Roxanne Perez to a match at Battleground. After her appearance, news spread that WWE and NXT have formed some sort of partnership, and to expect more crossover appearances between the two organizations.

Then at Battleground this past weekend, the door between the two widened a bit more. Ash by Elegance formerly known as Dana Brooke in WWE made an appearance fighting off Tatum Paxley. While Gail Kim, Grace's husband Jonathan Gresham and a couple TNA execs were in attendance.

This is exciting and another indication of the changing of the guard at WWE, and the willingness to work alongside other promotions. While it's clearly going to continue based on events at Battleground. We as fans are not sure how long this partnership is intended to last, and what's the end game if any. I'm for one am buckling up to go along for the ride, while I'm along for the ride I have 3 wishes for this partnership.

3. WWE Doesn't Use It To Pooch Talent

WWE is thee juggernaut of the pro wrestling world. They have the history, the Prestige, worldwide appeal and finances. They can call any wrestler up and will get a conversation going regarding employment opportunities. From there various factors play into someone getting signed, but the point is WWE is always looking to snag talent, they can and they will. People will listen because it's the WWE.

Now business is business and when a talents contract is up, it's fair game. I just hope WWE isn't using this opportunity strictly to get a closer look at who they will try to steal away from TNA at some point.

2.Both Sides Benefit

When AEW and then Impact Wrestling parterned up in late 2020 during the pandemic, it bought a real holy $*it moment not seen in some years in pro wrestling. As well as some excitement about what was to come.

Unfortunately it was a very lopsided partnership. It didn't amount to much for Impact, and it seemed like AEW came out on top. Kenny Omega won the Impact championship to continue his belt Collector gimmick.

Tony Khan and Tony Schiavone appeared on episodes of Impact supposedly paying for the ad time. But none of it ever really went anywhere and then it just ended. The Good Brothers working for Impact at the time flipped back and forth working with the Elite. Moose made an appearance on AEW, Thunder Rosa appeared on Impact. Christian won the Impact championship.

Everything just seemed so in favor of AEW, many wondered what was the point?

1. Convinces Naysayers To Give TNA A Chance

Everyone is well aware that TNA has had some serious down times throughout their 20 plus year history. In fact there is such a stench attached to that brand amongst elitist wrestling fans, that some just refuse to give them a chance. Then there are fans who don't catch them regularly because they already meet their wrestling quota trying to keep up with AEW and WWE which is fine. And maybe another promotion like MLW, New Japan or Stardom.

When you take a step back and look at it, if AEW, AAA, and WWE have partnered with TNA within the past 4 years. The company is doing something extremely well. They are able to rejuvenate careers that seem to be going nowhere, and give upcoming talent that stage to shine. They have led some trends that the bigger players borrowed. They have a quality mix of how content is presented to cater to several types of fans.

They do a damn good job with what they have. Hopefully those who aren't in tune with the product, use this opportunity of them working with WWE. To give TNA a chance and see what they are missing.
