February Random Rants
Here we are, after a long January February wasted no time coming and going. So welcome to March!
I'll be honest until yesterday while watching Smackdown, I didn't realize Elimination Chamber was today. I'm honestly not sure of the entire lineup, but I'll definitely be tuned in.
I know he's The Rock a wrestling legend, WWE board member, Hollywood star, business man etc. and I am a big fan of the wrestler and the man. But, man, someone has to talk to him about reining in his promos and getting to the point much quicker. He just drags to where I and I'm sure many other's start tuning out. And could potentially cause fan's to lose interest in a intriguing storyline.
His NXT promo was truthfully horrendous, so let's hope someone can get to him and get him to scale back just a little.
I like WWE's new sports style direction, the ticker during Royal Rumble was a great addition. Every time they introduce something new to present a more sports feel, I can't help but think about AEW.
Why you may ask? That's what Cody was pushing for to AEW present their shows and it fell on deaf ears. Now WWE is receiving massive praise for this new direction. AEW could have been ahead of the curve in that regard.
When she started in NXT back in 2021 I wasn't sure about Lash Legend. Fast Forward to now and she is the next homegrown star in my opinion. She's beautiful, has pure athleticism, and has improved with her promo's. Only a matter of time before she is on the main roster with her star shining bright.
The Street Profits promos have been fire and also have Jeremy Borash's finger prints all over them. If you remember the Impact wrestling sit down interviews circa 2016-17, you will notice the resemblance.
I'll probably get heat for this. Maybe it's me, but for some reason I don't like Ricky Starks pose and wish he moved on from it.
I can't wait for the death riders and Cope to move on from each other and am hoping Revolution is the culmination. I just think it hasn't served either party too well, and the Death Rider's story has been derailed.
I can get behind a partnership between Megan Bayne and Penelope Ford if that is the route AEW is going.
Really random, but since she has returned to wrestling, I hope Sadie Gibbs returns to AEW. She was never given a chance before the pandemic arrived and she was released since she still lived in the UK. Then she retired from pro wrestling amid some health struggles.
I can't quite figure out what would work for him, but I think MJF needs a refresh of some sorts. At least to me the schtick of constantly yelling into a mic, and berating everyone in sight has ran it's course.
Speaking of refresh, Adam Cole need's a refresh as well. He went from one of the more popular members of the roster. To basically just there, with nothing of substance on the horizon for him.
