New Impact Knockouts?
Impact's Knockouts Division continues to bring some of the best women's wrestling in the world. If you're not familiar with the history of the Knockouts Division, just know it was setting the world on fire back when WWE was still running bra and panties matches.
Impact's Knockouts roster has thinned out a little due to attrition. Mia Yim and Tenille Dashwood are back at the E. Lady Frost requested and was finally granted her release. Chelsea Green is back in the E as well. Taya Valkyrie just debuted for AEW, ending a successful and entertaining run in Impact.
They've supplemented by bringing Steph De'Lander, KiLynn King and The Hex (Marti Belle & Allysin Kay) on board. Although I'm not sure The Hex were bought on long-term. They've also starting airing vignettes hyping Jody Threat joining the division.
Impact is known for finding those diamonds in the rough and making them stars. As well as giving often looked over wrestlers a chance to show that they are in fact..the shit.
I previously mentioned Impact would be the perfect place for Mandy Rose, should she want to return to wrestling.
Here are 10 potential future stars of wrestling, I think Impact should look at signing to the Knockouts division.
10. Reka Tehaka
Reka Tehaka started wrestling in 2020 just as the pandemic shut much of the world down. When she made an appearance on AEW in 2022 against Jade Cargill people started to take notice. Her gimmick which she created is that of a "Samoan Savage" and her in-ring style compliments that moniker.
She is aggressive in the ring and relentless in her pursuit of destroying her opponent. She throws stiff forearms, harsh clotheslines, and not afraid to throw a head butt in there as well. I would love to see a match between her and Savannah Evans or Jessicka in Impact.
9. Janai Kai
Janai Kai is probably one of the most unique female wrestlers today from a pure in-ring style. She blends Muy Thai, Kickboxing, and Tae Kwon Do with wrestling. Debuting in 2018, Janai incorporating martial arts into her style allows her to show off her fluid and hard kick foot work and quick punches. Think of her as a female Low Ki for comparison sake with her stiff kicks.
She's wrestled for AEW where she faced off against Jade Cargill on an edition of Rampage where a lot of fans first took notice of her style. Her nickname is the "Kick Demon" and she sure could lay some folks out or completely take their heads from their shoulders with her kicks. Just image Janai Kai vs Killer Kelly in Impact.
8. MJ Jenkins
MJ Jenkins was in the NXT system from 2018-2020 and was never given a fair shake. Sad to say that is a side effect of hoarding talent, and competing against the Bianca Belair's, Dakota Kai's and Io Shirai's of the world during that time. MJ not only wrestle's but also sings, can dance and is a personal trainer, all skills she can tap into within the ring and while creating her career.
She's wrestled for Impact before, and most recently had a stint on NWA. I think a Whole Lotta Woman would make a statement in the Knockouts division, and put on some entertaining bouts with a Tasha Steelz, Masha Slamovich, and Gisele Shaw.
7. Heather Monroe
Heather Monroe is the Killer Bae. The perfect moniker for a division that is known as The Knockouts division. Wrestling since 2015 she has honed her craft on the west coast independent scene and has grown a substantial following.
She has that All-American girl look with the Mean Girls vibe going as her act, with some inspiration from Impact's own Beautiful People faction. Heather has appeared in WWE, AEW, and Impact as enhancement talent. Her in-ring and promo skills could use a bit more refinement, but what other promotion develops talent and accentuates their strengths and hides their weaknesses, while also putting them out there to shine? None other than Impact and she would be develop into a star there.
6. Queen Aminata
Another fast rising star of the wrestling scene, debuting in 2017. Queen Aminata has made a name for herself with her royalty persona, and then proving in the ring she's not one to mess with. Her presentation is as strong as her in ring style.
Her in ring style is technical yet dangerous. Queen Aminata spent some time in Japan so her strikes can be lethal. Within the Knockouts division, a faceoff with Deonna Purrazzo or Tasha Steelz would be one that inspire young female fans to become professional wrestlers.
5. Viva Van
Making her debut in 2018, in four short years Viva Van has dominated the West Coast Indy scene. Trained by Rikishi if you don't know her name by now, you need to memorize it because you will be hearing more of her.
Already making history as the first Vietnamese-American professional wrestler. Billed as 5'4 Viva is a hard hitter in the ring. While stiff with her punches, she can also leap off the top rope with the best of them and has a presence. Since dominating the west coast North American scene she has been winning the gold like it's nobodies business, currently holding five different championships of different promotions. Viva has appeared in Impact previously, as well as AEW.
Her nickname is the "Hellbent Vixen" and currently "Six belts Viva". Her unique heavy metal look could play into the goth and supernatural that only Impact knows to balance without seeming silly. Impact definitely could use her services.
4. Salina De La Renta
3. Miranda Alize
Miranda Alize aka the lucha baddie is a terror on the independent scene. She has a hard hitting style mixed with lucha libre that complements her small frame. Miranda always displays personality in her matches by her fiery demeanor when wrestling. She has wrestled against many big names on the indies such as Athena, Thunder Rosa, Jordynne Grace, Tessa Blanchard, Lady Frost, and Ivelisse Velez.
She also participated in the 2017 Mae Young Classic facing off against Rhea Ripley. Miranda caught a raw deal when she signed with ROH in 2020, and while used it didn't amount to much due to ROH's closure and subsequent sale to Tony Khan. She's appeared recently on the revived ROH, but its unclear if she has officially signed. Her Lucha Baddie style and attitude would be a welcome addition to Impact.
2.Megan Bayne
She has an impressive look and physique, and a built in character ready to be displayed on a bigger scale. The Megasaus persona of a Greek goddess, Megan Bayne is a star on the rise. She has a substantial following on the indy scene, due to her look and her hard work in the ring. She can float around the ring, but also has raw power. She has appeared on AEW dark a few times, before suffering a injury that she is returning from.
She has already faced off against Knockouts Deonna Purrazzo and Masha Slamovich on the independent scene. Just image how hard hitting a match against Jordynne Grace would be, I'm sure both would put on displays to show who is more powerful. Hopefully Impact scoops her up before anyone else does and give's us that match.
1. Trish Adora
Trish Adora has more than made a name for herself on the indy scene. She also caught a raw deal, signing with ROH a few months before they announced the doors were closing. A former Army vet, she has been tearing up the indy scene since the mid 2010's. She is the current
Along with ROH, she has appeared in NXT as enhancement talent, Impact and MLW. She has an hard-hitting technical style and her afro-punk look stands out. She's already competed against current roster members Tasha Steelz, Savannah Evans, and Masha Slamovich. Those matches were show stealers of their respective cards and I wouldn't mind seeing them revisited at all. Like Miranda Alize, She wrestled for ROH at Final Battle and wrestled at ROH's recent TV tapings, so she may have rejoined the promotion as it starts back up. In the event she hasn't, Impact needs to acquire her skills quickly.
