Broken Skull Sessions Wishlist Part III
A new episode of Broken Skull Sessions just debuted with Seth Rollins. Every Month I look forward to the show and there has not been one disappointing episode yet. Stone Cold is such a great interviewer and host, he easily grabs you into the program. Without question it's my favorite program on the WWE network with WWE 24 a close second. At this point I could go for two of these a month, that's how much I enjoy them.
I've previously written articles on future guest I would like to see interviewed. One last fall and one earlier this year, so far my batting average is shit with Kevin Nash being the only on my wishlist appearing. That won't me stop me from shouting out some more guest I would like to see on Broken Skull.10. Michael Cole
This one would be a break from the norm, but Michael Cole has been a fixture on WWE TV for 25 years. Initially confused for Todd Pettengill when he debuted and often the butt of many jokes. Progressing from a interviewer to a play by play announcer, Michael Cole has been the voice of WWE for an entire generation. Topics could include his start in the WWE, his heel run in 2011 which Stone Cold refereed a Wrestlemania match he was in. The preparation and work that goes into being an play by play announcer and possibly inspiring a new generation to give commentating a chance.
9. Madusa
Madusa is considered a pioneer of female wrestling. She wrestled during an time when womens wrestling wasn't taken as serious as it is today. Yet she took her craft very serious and set the standard for quality women's matches. She inspired the woman who lead the way with the TNA Knockouts revolution and WWE's Women's revolution.
Topics that could be covered include her and Austin's time together in the Dangerous Alliance, her outside interest such as driving a monster truck. Her role in WCW during the later years before leaving the company. Of course they have to cover her famous trash can incident on Nitro.
8. Dolph Ziggler
Dolph Ziggler is a WWE veteran who has entered that point in his career where he's just there honestly. At one time during the mid-2010s he was compared to the likes of HBK and Mr. Perfect for his moveset and ability to sell. He did win the WWE championship back in 2013, and some other championships here and there but for the most part he's just been floating along.
A interview with Stone Cold may turn things around for him. If anything they can talk about his time as Chavo's caddy during that awful Kerwin White angle, and of course his time in the Spirit Squad and being the one only left standing. Being bought back as Dolph Ziggler, Vickie Guerrero as his manager, winning the money in the bank briefcase. His outside ventures including his stand up comedy and more.
7. JBL
JBL went from a hard-hitting cowboy to a beer guzzling, cigar chomping mercenary to a J.R. Ewing inspired millionaire champion. From the brink of obscurity to a wrestling God.
He's very savvy in the financial sector as well and could possible provide a hint or two on how to make money investing. A fellow Texan, he'd have alot to talk to Stone Cold about and I'm sure it'd be quite entertaining.
6. Diamond Dallas Page
DDP may have become more popular in retirement than during his time in the ring. Largely thanks to his DDP Yoga which has helped Chris Jericho continue his career in his early 50s. It has also helped Scott Hall and Jake Roberts turn their life around.
DDP spent many years in the business outside the ring, before training to become a wrestler at the age of 35. He would go on to a successful career in WCW winning the world championship two times and becoming one of their franchise players in WCW's battle against the nWo. Topics could include of course DDP Yoga it's founding and the impact it has had on him personally and professionally. His brutal, legendary feud with the Macho Man that made him a star in WCW, teaming with Karl Malone and Jay Leno. Joining WWE and being the Undertaker's stalker, and his hall of fame induction in 2017.
5. Beth Phoenix

5. Beth Phoenix
WWE hall of famer Beth Phoenix wrestled during a weird time in women's wrestling. She primarily wrestled when WWE still didn't take Women's Wrestling too serious. She however was a dominating force in that division as the glamazon. She unfortunately retired a couple years before the divas revolution began, missing out on the opportunity to be apart of that era.
She was the subject of a WWE Icons docu-series eariler this year where she told a good portion of her story. Stone Cold however has a way of getting more out of someone when interviewing them, and I'm sure that would occur here. Topics could include her frustrations with the 'E at the time that led to her leaving, being a mom, 2017 Hall of Fame induction, her comeback match at WrestleMania 35 and joining NXT as a commentator.
4. D-Von Dudley
4. D-Von Dudley
D-Von Dudley is a member of one of the most decorated tag teams in wrestling history..The Dudley Boyz. From ECW-WWE-TNA back to WWE, they caused damage and won championships. D-von always seemed overshadowed by Bubba Ray who is more brash and outspoken, make no mistake D-von is no slouch in the ring or on the mic.
Him and Stone Cold could probably go two hours with an interview. Talking about the Dudley's origins and almost inciting riots. Adjusting to WWE, the legendary matches with Edge & Christian and The Hardys. How "D-Von Get The Tables" started, going to TNA and his time there. Coming back to the WWE, his wrestling school, his sons in wrestling, and working as a WWE producer now.
3. Big E
The newest WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Big E can go from 0 to 100 really quick, be a complete beast or the funniest guy in the room. Which I'm sure if given the chance he'd have some jokes for Stone Cold.
The two would have so many topics to touch on. His time playing football in Iowa, how he got started in wrestling. Powerlifting, his time in NXT and the 5-count gimmick, debuting as AJ Lee and Dolph Zigglers bodyguard. Transitioning from a man of few words to his new day personality. The new day as a unit, outside ventures and more.
2. Rey Mysterio
Arguably the greatest cruiserweight of all time. Rey Mysterio has dazzled in the ring for over 25 years and while he has slowed down due to age and injuries, he still can perform acrobatic moves like it's 1996 again.
Rey's persona is typically soft spoken but I bet Stone Cold can loosen him up a bit. Topics could include taking his name after his uncle, time in WCW and of course his unmasking in '99. Joining the WWE in '02 and his feud with Eddie Guerrero, winning the WWE championship, Dominik wrestling and more.
1. Shawn Michaels
The Heartbreak Kid is the greatest wrestler ever in my opinion. He's also the guy Stone Cold beat at Wrestlemania to jumpstart his legendary box-office breaking run as world champion during the attitude era. The two have undeniable chemistry together from their brief time as tag team partners to enemies.
HBK is just a wealth of knowledge in the wrestling world with a varied story. Topics could include his time as one half of The Rockers with Marty Jannetty, then finding himself going solo. His first retirement, finding God and recovering from his back injury to make a comeback. Of course his two Mania matches with the Undertaker need to be talked about.
